  1. Ever thought of using a water pick to micro blast the sand out? It’d be a cavitous stone, but an interesting specimen.

  2. I got my answer lol. Love the channel 👍

  3. I'm curious what that stone could sell for as it is now.

  4. You are good , I love your style ❤ . I bought some OPEL I BOUGHT IT IN Cobo San Lukes 35 years ago. Buying a geringer set . I would love some Australies beautiful opel could you recomend a company 🙏 and keep making your viedos. ☝✝️🥰

  5. Mate honestly from the time I watched the video I thought slice it into little gems, always wanted to get into Opal one way or another but never had the opportunity. Anyway good luck with the future.

  6. I liked the video. I hope it's not going to be beaten by sand.

  7. It's still a wonderful specimen!

  8. I propose a new method of cutting. Drill. You can drill the visible sand so it's to see the depth of the sand inclusion

  9. I think ur light might be to strong for that tiny knob. The sand is ordered in small thin sheets instead of globs that strong light is shining right thru them like its nothing.

  10. Dang! What a downer! But you gave it your best. It was a good lesson on what can defeat the best artisan, which you are.

  11. Did you lose money on this one?

  12. Round it off, drill a hole through it, and sell it as a bead. As a beadworker, I would be interested in it as a bead.

  13. Would a dremmel have been an option for digging out the sand areas? I think I am partial to the free form and carved stones. Weird I know 😊 but we’re out here!

  14. Que maravilla los ópalos que nacen de las entrañas de una tierra que en su superficie parece tan humilde

  15. Couldn't it be put in an ultrasonic cleaner to loosen the sand before processing?

  16. end of the day the sands got to go it take out the sand and see what your left with its what you do end of the day it's ashame but it's in sand stone rock were it comes from as you sad make yr cuts ✂️ 😢 and it what left is what's left earing studs are what yr going to get this time but your recover it fro the next one good luck buddy

  17. Wow! Tought stuff. Hoped a suite of smaller lovely matching stones could be found…..ratz!

  18. I just found your channel 2 days ago (and watches it till 5 in the morning!) Now I really wanted to leave a comment but realized I would only say the same most of the others already did 😂: it's so beautiful and I'd love to have (but never could afford even such a sandy beauty) – however, if it wasn't obvious – I truely adore and love your chanel, your opals and of course you 😉… Lots of love from Vienna, Austria!

  19. wooki …. rotflmao !!!! thnx

  20. That’s a shame Justin , such beautiful colors in that stone , and full of sand. I am frustrated as well.

  21. would have made an amazing sculptural piece brother

  22. What I’d like to know is why don’t you take the toothpick to it prior to cutting? Dig the sand to see how deep it is.

  23. I really want a black opal specimen too

  24. Thank you for taking us on this adventure, even if it didn't turn out as you would have liked.

  25. Shame that will all those beautiful blues, it turned out to be so sandy all the way through.

  26. That yedi call in the beginning lol

  27. Thank you for all your videos, from the amazing to even sand trap stones your videos are enjoyed by all, seeing the best stones cut into a beautiful black . seeing the magic when you take difficult stone that may not have a good chance of cutting a gem an manytimes you still get nice gemstones. You are far too humble an funny, maybe I'll get to go to the Tucson show an say hello, I cant cut, carve or cab right now but hopefully when all the equipment is set up again it may be better, I'm very Blessed family is trying to set the 8"wheels , saw an carving station up to accommodate for some damage I have. Thanks again for taking the time, and making alot of ppl smile. Paul or G pa 64

  28. This is Christine from Bartonville IL. Just happened to stumble upon this channel a couple of weeks ago. It’s my go to when I get on you tube! Just love opal and really love 💕 how you explain what is going on when you’re going in!!! Lol. I have never seen a script pattern before, what a treat! I wouldn’t be able to sell it! Keep up the good work Justin and the rest of the crew. I’m sure I’ll be getting your names down too. 🥰

  29. Hello, Justin and crew. Thought you guys, and maybe some subscribers might find this slightly amusing… I saw a seller on Instagram who was selling faceted welo Opal, and claiming it was black opal harvested from Borneo. I called him out on his dishonesty in a very diplomatic way. His response was more lies, to try to convince other viewers that I was misinformed when I said there's no such thing as black opal from Borneo, and how the honeycomb pattern is a dead giveaway for welo Opal. His response was to say I had a bad attitude, and report me. When he roprted me, Instagram deleted his fake opal post. 😆

  30. I wish I lived down the street from you . I would have loved to have carved that stone for you at no charge! But I live in Arizona , lol. Some guy sometimes say ( That’s Opal for ya) Great video Justin. Sorry for the loses

  31. So how much do you pay for quality rough opals

  32. How are you feeling? Hope you are well
