  4. Played marbles when I was a little kid. I started building swimming pools when I was 17 and started finding them when we were digging. I collected them for 40 years. I bought my current land in 2015 and have been finding a few in my yard. I probably have more than enough to fill a quart size container. I figured some were valuable, honestly didn't know they could be worth that much!

  20. One of my hobbies is bottle digging at old dump sites. I've been digging at a site that closed in the mid-1940's and I've found around 100 marbles there. Trying to determine which ones have value, but not familiar with the terms used in the hobby. Would any marbles from that era be worth anything?

  21. Another fantastic video Stephen. Just look at the number of views it got! Amazing.

  22. I have a pretty large old marble collection, would you guys be interested in taking a look and possibly purchasing a few of them (possibly all) stupid me i gave away 2 mason jars FULL of them too! My mother collected them for many many years!

  23. Have a bunch of old marbles…some similar to these but many of them appear to be quite older…clay – Bennington – glazed clay, the glazed are mostly brown but a few blue. A couple latticino, perhaps a ribbon lutz or two. passed down from my great uncle b 1903. btw I didn't know these names…just now googled. Some in good condition, others rough nothing large. Just a comment not particularly interested in selling.

  24. Close friends who lived next door that when I was about 6 or in 1960 moved away to another state. I was so sad I wanted to move with them, but they calmed me down about it. In '60 the husband was about 60. He gave me a shoe box half full of marbles from when he was a boy. I played marbles some but not a lot. We moved to California from Minnesota in 1968 so they were probably sold in a pile of stuff a second hand collector paid a lump sum for. So all the marbles were from the 1920's or earlier. Just a curiosity… but are a lot of marbles from the Twenties worth a lot? Also he gave me toys he had as a child, about 8 different wind-up toys made of tin all also from the Twenties. I wrecked them all in time and they were tossed out. I remember a Roman chariot with a soldier and a horse. They were all small and like a bus, a car etc. Would toys like that today be worth a lot? Again it's just a passing curiosity. Thanks for this interesting video!

  25. Somewhere in a Box I still have a Marble Collection from the early 70's. We used to play Marbles Games when I was a Kid, I'm now curious if it's worth anything. lol
